WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY TO PRESENT “HAPPILY EVER AFTER—A CINDERELLA TALE” ON MARCH 7
William Paterson University’s Vistas Series Family Scene presents “Happily Ever After—A Cinderella Tale,” a show based on the beloved children’s classic, to be staged on Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m. in Shea Center for Performing Arts on the campus in Wayne. Come early for fun pre-show activities included with the admission beginning at 1:15 p.m.
The show is presented by The Pushcart Players, an award-winning professional theatre and arts-in-education company, and is part of NJ Theatre Alliance presents Family Week at the Theatre.
The performance, a fully staged, costumed and orchestrated production, takes the audience on a magical journey where inner beauty, courage and kindness triumph over greed, arrogance and bully behavior. Filled with enchantment, this enduring story and beautiful music are the essence of a delightful family afternoon. A question and answer discussion and autograph session with the cast will follow the show. The performance is appropriate for kindergarten through sixth grade students.
Pushcart Players is currently celebrating its 35th season of stirring up serious fun - not only throughout most of the U.S., but also in the former Soviet Union, the Czech Republic and in two guest appearances at the White House. The dynamic company is the recipient of an Emmy nomination for two prime time specials on WCBS-TV, and numerous awards for excellence and innovation in the development of theatre for young audiences.
The event is part of William Paterson’s Vistas Family Scene Series, designed to serve the surrounding multicultural community, as well as the University’s students and faculty. Funding for the Vistas Series at William Paterson University has been made possible, in part, by a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
Admission is $9 for adults and free for children under 18 years old. For directions or to purchase tickets, please call the Shea Center Box Office at 973.720.2371.
