William Paterson University Foundation To Hold First Golf Outing
--Scheduled for September 14, 2009 at North Jersey Country Club
The William Paterson University Foundation is initiating a new fund-raising event this year with its inaugural golf outing. This year’s event will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009 at the North Jersey Country Club in Wayne, N.J., a Walter Travis-designed golf course and one of the most challenging in the area. The shotgun start will take place at 12:30 p.m., and will be preceded by a barbecue lunch. Participants will enjoy use of the putting green and practice range. The event is open to the public.
Registration begins at 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the low gross and low net golfer and low gross and low net team using a Calloway scoring system and shamble format. Other contests include men’s and women’s straightest drive and closest to the pin, a putting contest, and a 50/50 raffle.
The entry fee is $400 and includes a barbecue lunch, round of golf, cart, four caddies, cocktail reception and dinner. All participants will receive a complimentary goodie bag with valuable golf-related gifts.
