WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY SUMMER CHOIR CONCERT TO FEATURE GLORIA CHORUSES AND MEDLEY OF WORKS "Gloria" choruses, a medley of Duke Ellington songs, tunes from Broadway, and African American spirituals will highlight the program of vocal works to be presented by the William Paterson University Summer Choir on Sunday, July 30 in a concert on the University's campus in Wayne. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in William Paterson's Shea Center for Performing Arts. Admission is free. Meredia Warren, assistant professor of music at William Paterson, will direct the choir of community singers. Warren is a frequent adjudicator for choral festivals, and has served as clinician for state and national conferences. She has traveled to China with the choral delegation led by Weston Noble, and participated in choral workshops in Ghana, West Africa. She also has toured Europe with the Pro Arte Chorale and performed with the World Symposium Choir in Sydney, Australia. Warren received her bachelor of music education
degree from Howard University, Washington, D.C., and holds master's
and doctorate degrees in music and music education from Teachers
College, Columbia University. She earned the Kodaly Certificate
from the Kodaly Musical Training Institute at the University
