William Paterson University in Wayne, where the orchestra is in residence.
In celebration of Earth Day week, the program includes Beethoven's symphony "Pastoral" and a New Jersey premiere of "Three Dances from Chaco Canyon" by New Mexican composer Michael Mauldin.

Also on the program are two works by Mozart from "Cosi Fan Tutte," featuring Jocelyn Lieberfarb, soprano, in a performance of "Per pieta, ben mio, perdona." Artists who have appeared under his baton include such renowned soloists as the late Leonard Rose, Gary Graffman, Emanuel Ax, Carlos Montoya, and Metropolitan Opera stars Rosalind Elias and Blanche Thebom.
The late Pierre Monteux, with whom Grau studied, described him as "a superb musician, and an extremely brilliant and talented conductor."

Lieberfarb has been featured in concerts in Mexico and performed with the Mexican National Orchestra under the baton of the late conductor Eduardo Mata. Along with operatic and musical theatre productions in the United States, Lieberfarb performs as a soloist with several orchestras in the metropolitan area. She has also appeared at Town Hall and Merkin Concert Hall in New York. Lieberfarb is completing her doctorate in opera performance at New York University.
Prior to the concert, in room 101 of Shea Center at 7 p.m, Dr. Anton Vishio, assistant professor of music at William Paterson, will present a lecture that is free to all ticketholders.
