"DEATH DEFYING ACTS" AT WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY SUMMER THEATRE "Death Defying Acts," the long-running Off-Broadway hit comedy, will be presented at William Paterson University in Wayne from July 23 through July 31. The play will be performed in Hunziker Theatre on the university's campus on July 23, 24, 28, 29, 30 and 31 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 25 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $7 standard and $5 for students, the William Paterson community and senior citizens. "Death Defying Acts" was written by gifted playwrights David Mamet, Elaine May and Woody Allen. In Mamet's "An Interview," a sleazy lawyer is forced to admit the truth about his life and career during an interrogation with a surprise ending. "Hotline," by May, is about a neurotic woman who makes a late-night call to a suicide crisis hotline. The second Act, "Central Park West," by Allen, is about a well-to-do psychiatrist who just discovers that her best friend is having an affair with her husband. Featured in the cast are Amanda Arthur of Clifton, Sherry Capers-Dock of Paterson, Elizabeth Dispenza and Jessica Hascup of Wayne. Other cast members include Bob Rizzotti of Waldwick, Alyce Janel Rosolen of Clifton, Melissa K. Sandberg of Little Falls, Andrew Semegram of Wyckoff, Sheldon Stone of Totowa and Tommy Dragon of Kenilworth. Philip Cioffari, professor of English at William Paterson, is the director.
