The Orchestra at William Paterson University Presents a "Messiah" Sing-Along Concert The Orchestra at William Paterson University celebrates this holiday season with a special "Messiah" sing-along concert on Sunday, December 10 at 3 p.m. in Shea Center for Performing Arts. Audience members are invited to bring their
musical scores and join in as the chorus. Tickets are $10 (admission
is free for season subscribers). Vocal scores will also be available

Office at 973-720-2371. Marchini has established himself as one of today's most versatile young conductors. He made his professional conducting debut in 1982 with "Tosca" and has since led numerous concert performances and opera productions on both sides of the Atlantic. Marchini made his New York debut at Lincoln Center in 1993 leading Rossini's "Mose," a performance the New York Times called "blended and robust." Hobson is acclaimed for the "strong dramatic persona" he brings to his performances. He has appeared with the prestigious Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, The Dallas Opera, and Baltimore Opera, among others. Hobson has completed two European tours in the title role of "Porgy and Bess," and has been heard as Joe in "Show Boat" at the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway. Lieberfarb, equally at home on the concert stage as well as in opera, made her New York City recital debut at Town Hall in 1989. Her career spans a wide range of performances in musical venues throughout the United States and abroad. While working on a doctoral degree in opera performance at New York University, Lieberfarb performed at the Gubbio Music Festival in Italy and gave solo recitals throughout Italy. She also appeared numerous times at Merkin Concert Hall in New York City and with the New York University Chamber Music Society. Spesak has worked with various opera companies throughout the tri-state area. She is a section leader and soloist at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Mountain Lakes, NJ and a member of the early music ensemble Ars Musica Antiqua. She recently became a fellow with Opera Music Theatre International under the direction of Jerome Hines. Slade recently toured with the Long Island Philharmonic as Tamino in "The Magic Flute," a role he sang again as a guest artist with the Mannes Summer Opera. His concert appearances include the title role in Handel's "Judas Maccabeus," as well as "Messiah" and many of Bach's cantatas. He has toured the United States and Europe with the Yale Whiffenpoofs, the New York City Opera, and the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players. William Paterson University, one of the nine state colleges and universities in New Jersey, offers 30 undergraduate and 18 graduate programs through five colleges: Arts and Communication, Business, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science and Health.
