The Arab American Scholarship provides support for undergraduate students with financial need who seek to become leaders in their disciplines and contribute to their community. The scholarships are open to full-time incoming freshman, transfer, and matriculated students. Citizenship is not a requirement; students with international or refugee status are eligible. The factors considered for selection include the following: - Arab American descent and/or demonstrated interest in Arab American studies and communities; - demonstrated financial need; and - completion of the online application. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must: - Be an incoming freshman, transfer student, or a continuing William Paterson University student. - Submit this completed application by the priority deadline of April 1. - File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 1. The FAFSA is required for U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and eligible non-citizens. International students are not required to submit the FAFSA.
