Students from across the Garden State will compete for laughs during William Paterson University’s Second Annual Comedy Festival to be held from November 28 to December 8. A highlight of the festival will be the competition for the Funniest College in New Jersey. and the Funniest College Student in New Jersey culminating on Saturday, December 1.
Upcoming Winter Arts Events The New Music Series will present a concert of twentieth century music on Monday, November 26 at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, December 2, the Connecticut Children's Theatre will present The Snow Story at 2:00 p.m. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band will present a Christmas spectacular of New Orleans jazz on December 8 at 8:00 p.m. The University Choir and chamber singers will present portions of Handel's Messiah in a concert on December 11 at 8:00 p.m. All events take place in Shea Center for Performing Arts.
President of Wagner College to Speak on Civic Engagement Richard Guarasci, the president of Wagner College in Staten Island, will discuss his institution’s focus on learning communities and experiential learning in an address, “On Becoming the Good College…Civic Engagement and General Education,” on Tuesday, November 20 at 12:30 p.m. in Ballroom C in University Commons. A lunch reception will precede the event in Ballroom B beginning at noon.

The Department of Art at William Paterson University has achieved accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) for the undergraduate and graduate degree programs offered by its College of the Arts and Communication. NASAD is the national accrediting agency for art and design and art and design-related disciplines.
